Lauren Jarrad has been Centre Manager for BUDMC since 2014. She is responsible for financial management including all budgets, contracts and research spend across our UK and overseas activities.
Having achieved her degree in Business Studies from Bournemouth University Lauren went on to develop and exploit her considerable skills in marketing, communication and entrepreneurial business development across a wide range of business sectors including the launch and directing of a highly successful independent regional business.
Lauren oversees the development, marketing and business growth of the BUDMC’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) provision worldwide; the heart of our outward facing business.
Lauren has also designed, and successfully implemented a bespoke on-line learning platform that BUDMC now uses to support our post-graduate disaster management students. This unique on-line platform includes a fast growing specialist library of ‘TED-Style’ short video lectures that Lauren filmed, edited and deployed.
Lauren is the initial and central point of contact for most day to day enquiries to the Centre. She also coordinates and administers our two International Disaster Management Courses (IDMC) including all marketing and communicating, course enquiries, individual bookings and essential course administration.
